I should know this but I don't. Is there a leaf spring, single or otherwise, that is a component of the front suspension on our cars or is someone trying to make a few extra bucks at my expense?
Both front and rear springs are transverse composite leaf springs. Yes, they're leaf springs, but not exactly in the 'truck' sense. They run sideways on the car, from one wheel to the other side. Also, they are a single leaf of fiberglass instead of multiple steel leaves.
It's actually lighter than coil springs, which is why even the new Z06 and ZR1 use the same idea, composite leaf springs.
Thanx for all the positive(?) feedback people. I still love The Forum.
yes, and the reason people talk about them is, they have different spring rates. Some are real stiff rates and some are softer.

are the performance ones you can make your car perform better with . better mono leaf springs, and bigger sway bars, and lowering it.
