Default rotor recomendations

Ok actually what im looking for are rotors (pads) NOT to buy...

I have an 88, built ground up. All new everything. 6 point roll bar, all VBP stuff. 500hp...I will be autocrossing this car , but mainly a street car. I am very tough on my brakes. I want to get cross-drilled/slotted rotors next. I want to know what everyone has to say as far as rotors from a certain company to avoid and why. (pads too)

I never bought plated rotors- i always used to paint them...Any advise on that subject too is appreciated!!!

The forum rules......Thanks all...

Not to buy? Stay away from cheap junk. Use a pad geared toward autox from a good brand, like Carbotech/Cobalt/PF, etc. I wouldn't use drilled or slotted unless they are the very expensive two piece type.

For AutoX and street, I'd just stick with AC/Delco NOS replacements. Drilled/slotted, unless properly done (read EXPENSIVE) will cause stress cracks at the holes, and will not provide any better braking performance. Pick up some high-performance pads like Hawk HPS, upgrade to the J55 13" front rotors, and you're good to go.

Sorry if that wasn't exaclty what you're looking for. Just trying to give my $0.02.

I bought Baer Eradispeeds for my '95 and I have the Baer Decelerotors which are much cheaper and look like it for my '93.

So far no problems with either type.

The difference is the Eradispeeds are a two piece design and the Decelerotors are a one piece.

I'm using Hawk HPS pads on my '95 and Hawk Ceramics on the '93.
