Going to replace my wires and wondering what others have done to route the wires. I was thinking getting the brackets that bolt to valve covers.
Anybody have some pictures of the way you have done it.
I would appreciate any help, and what better place to ask but all the great people on the forum.
Happy Holiday.
I used the stock location I didn't want the wires running on top of the valve covers. Bought new stock wire looms used OEM brackets.
It's a cleaner look in my opinion.

It was alot of work but I used the extra long MSD 8.5's and their Pro Heat Guard and ran my wires down along the pan rail (with my front two on each side running thru the motor mount boss on the engine) and up the back of the cylinder heads (like the C3's do) and it really works well by keeping the wires away from my header tubes and the air injection rails plus it cleans up the engine compartment too. On my wife's stock 85 though I just used the stock replacement MSD 8.5's and got new brackets and clips from GM and it looks just fine too.
I run TPIS performance wires that are much lower resistance than OEM yet fit the stock looms.
If you want something for atop the VCs, consider Made for You looms; Summit sells them. I used them on my IROC-Z with TPIS 8.5mm wires and perimeter-bold VCs; they will also work with center-bold VCs.
