Default "A" Molds (Replating)

I've got a pair of Original "A" molds that need to be replated, plating is flaking especially in the center near the lug holes.

Car they were on was used sparingly but got caught in foul weather here on the east coast a few times and the salt did them in.

Anyone had any luck with having then stripped and replated without costing a arm and 2 legs?

Any suggestions on platers that anyone has has great success with would be greatly appreciated.

Cost?

Other then that the wheels are super nice.

Thanks,

Gibby

Any thoughts on getting them polished instead? Would avoid the pitting and flaking issue later.

BW,

Thanks,

I thought they only did wheel repair, didn't know they could replate!

Back in the day there were a lot of places to do chrome plating. Now with the EPA,OSHA and such not so much. Good luck with your search keep us posted I got a set of chrome sawblades that are going to need it eventually.

BW,

Where did you get your avitar from, kinda looks like my 'fiance's son without the hash marks?

GC,

Problem is they are already plated and the fronts are fine, would rather keep them plated, not crazy about polishing them every couple of weeks or having them cleared after polished. Once plated they will be not be exposed to bad weather
