in 85, besides the handling package (heavy duty F/R springs, bilstein shocks, larger sway bars), it included an oil cooler, 9.5" wheels, and a heavy duty cooling system (pusher fan in front of the radiator).
My 85 has the optional cooling system with the pusher fan and cooling system atop the oil filter, however it does not have Z51.

can i chime in on this....I have the Z51 pkg on my 84, but i do not have a "PUSHER" Fan on the car and doubt there is a H/D oil cooler either But i do have the Z51 bilstien shocks, hd springs and stiff ride

in 1985, you could order the heavy duty cooling - keyword cooling, RPO V08, that included the pusher fan, and an oil cooler. it would be included as part of the Z51 option -

the OP stated a 1985 corvette. in 84, the Z51 package included bilsteins, springs, larger swaybars, and, if i'm not mistaken, VR rated tires, and 9.5 inch wheels on the rear only. there was an option, V01 - heavy duty radiator - keyword radiator - no pusher fan, and there was no oil cooler available in 84.
its all these little tidbits of information thats makes the corvette hobby fun!
And more; per the 2000 "Corvette Black Book" the RPO Z51 package included:
-RPO FG3 Delco-Bilstein shocks
-RPO V08 heavy-duty cooling
-extra radiator fan (pusher)
-heavy-duty front & rear springs stabilizers and bushings
-fast steering ration
-16" x 9.5" wheels
RPO FG3 and V08 were available separate from RPO Z51.

I ordered the Built Sheet and Window Sticker from the Corvette Museum when I got my 85 to verify its options. They used to sell a package that got you the Build Sheet, Window Sticker, Corvette Blackbook and a couple of other things, it wasn't that expensive. Something nice to have for your car.
I suspected the Z51 option when I saw the yellow Bilstein shocks at the corners. The car didn't come with the factory wheels so checking for the 9.5 wheel was out. It was verified when I got the copy of the Build Sheet along with everything else the car came with from the factory.
look on the sticker in the rear compartment it will say Z51 and FE7 if it says this its a Z51
These cars are 25 years old and some of this stuff may have been omitted by previous owners. The storage compartment behind your drivers seat is your key or your build sheet which I also have.My 84 has TWO cooling fans. One in front of the radiator and one in back, but I also have options KC4(oil cooler) and VO1 (Hd rad).
My understanding and lots of research shows that 84 Z51s did not come with the FG3 shocks. They were not available at the beginning of the 84 MY (really Feb 83) There were three different 84 shock offerings, Standard, Heavy Duty (on non FG3 Z51s) and Bilsteins. I have discussed this with Mike Antonick and he has modified the description slightly in the new 2009 black book. In 85 the FG3 shocks were now included in Z51.
