Default C5's

I was just up in the C5 for sale section there was a 97 for 21,900 and a 98 vert for 26,500, the prices on the C5 are dropping, but so are the C4 prices.
I was going to make the leap next year, may have to reconsider the money I'm putting into my 93 and put it towards a C5.

I’ll make my decision once I see what the C6 looks like. ;)

I've been giving a lot of thought towards this too. I really want to get into a C4 or C5 if I decide that I can afford it (not likely). Since I'm on a bit of a shoe-string budget, I'm leaning toward an early 90s Vette right now. They're basically about as cheap as they're going to get, so I can drive one for a few years and get my money back when I sell it. The same can't be said for a C5.

I still like the look and feel of the C4 better.. my next one will most likely be a GS or ZR-1. C5's are nice, but not for me yet.

The C5's are pretty reasonable right now. One of these days I might have to get that 99 FRC :yesnod:

I agree, I hope the C6s look better than the C5s cause that huge rear end just hasn't grown on me yet. I would have already had a C5 to go along with my C4 but I just don't like that rear end.

No -NO -NO - Keep your C-4. The depreciation is over it only will get better. Paint it, mod it, store it, drive it, but don't sell it... :p:

I had to stop by my local Chevy dealer Wednesday to schedule an appt. with their body shop because someone with a peecup truck backed into my Z-24's front fender in the parking lot at work, and sitting in their showroom is a 2002 red Z-06.
Sticker was $50K. For the hell of it, I went to GM's website to see how much of an employee discount I'd get. $43k, minus $2002 rebate............but it would cost me more than that.....my wife, house, boy........

Sure was pretty though.

Not gonna get rid of the 35th for the C5 or C6. I'll keep it 4 sure but the next Vette will be 1 of the 2. :yesnod:
