I was just up in the C5 for sale section there was a 97 for 21,900 and a 98 vert for 26,500, the prices on the C5 are dropping, but so are the C4 prices.
I was going to make the leap next year, may have to reconsider the money I'm putting into my 93 and put it towards a C5.
I've been giving a lot of thought towards this too. I really want to get into a C4 or C5 if I decide that I can afford it (not likely). Since I'm on a bit of a shoe-string budget, I'm leaning toward an early 90s Vette right now. They're basically about as cheap as they're going to get, so I can drive one for a few years and get my money back when I sell it. The same can't be said for a C5.
I’ll make my decision once I see what the C6 looks like. ;) :yesnod: :yesnod:
I agree, I hope the C6s look better than the C5s cause that huge rear end just hasn't grown on me yet. I would have already had a C5 to go along with my C4 but I just don't like that rear end.
No -NO -NO - Keep your C-4. The depreciation is over it only will get better. Paint it, mod it, store it, drive it, but don't sell it... :p:
I had to stop by my local Chevy dealer Wednesday to schedule an appt. with their body shop because someone with a peecup truck backed into my Z-24's front fender in the parking lot at work, and sitting in their showroom is a 2002 red Z-06.
Sticker was $50K. For the hell of it, I went to GM's website to see how much of an employee discount I'd get. $43k, minus $2002 rebate............but it would cost me more than that.....my wife, house, boy........
