I have been working on changing out the interior of my vette from Red to Black, got the carpeting done and seats. Now I need to work on trim. Is there any good way to paint it where it doesn't look bad, or are there any aftermarket places you could recommend that sell pieces at a decent price?
I'm in the middle of doing an interior swap on my '89 myself also from red to black. Got most all of the pieces off salvaged cars. I still need door panels/arm rests, seats, and front carpet set though. My current panels are "red" and not far from "excellent" conditon instead of painting or dying them I'll post them for sale and use the $ I get to go toward the new panels/arm rests. I've dyed pieces before on other cars....they came out looking great but it didn't last...you had to keep dying them to keep the looking good. If you dye them and don't like them you'll have a hard time selling them down the road.
