Tires question
Hey guys, tell me what you think..
I just got some after market AFS look a likes for my 94 LT1. I got 17x9.5 all around. The tires sizes are 255-45-17 in the front and 285-40-17 in the rear. I noticed that the front tires stick out a bit out of the fender because I went up one inch on the front rims. Could I change the front to a 17x8.5 rim and go 275-40-17 all around without affecting the car or is that tire too big for the rim ?

While the 255's will fit the 9.5 rim, I don't like it. When I bought my 93, it had 9.5's all the way around with 285's out back and 255's up front. Should have been 275's all the way around.
If you want to keep the 255's go with 8.5 up front. If you want tire rotation, go with 275's on the 9.5's
