I have an after-market stereo in my 84 vette. Recently all of the speakers quit working.... I installed a new receiver and still have the same problem. I am stuck and need any input you are willing to give. Is it a relay issue or something else. Looked to see if there was a seperate fuse for the amps, but no luck there either. I do have a seperate amp and subs installed and they are working good, just no noise from the old vette system, please help!!!!!!!!!!
There are 2 fuses required to run the Bose stereo, Radio and CLK/CTSY. If they both test good, then the problem is with the Bose amp relay.
The relay is tucked way up in the dash, just right of center(lower left corner of crash pad). It is mounted to the left side of dash support brace.
Your best bet is to remove the passenger lower panel, reach your arm through all the wiring and unplug the connector from relay. Pull the wiring/connector down far enough to allow you to plug in a new relay, and then tuck it away.
If you have a crash pad delete, you can access it from behind the delete panel.

So you have a aftermarket radio w/ the Bose speakers? Just trying to be clear.
Yes it is an aftermarket head unit with the stock bose speakers. I checked both of the fuses tonight and they were both good so i guess that i am pulling the dash board apart this weekend to change out the relay. Thanks for the input and location of the relay, can't tell you enough how big of a help that is for me. I will keep you updated if it works.
