OK, first it's time for a reality check. $7500 is a ton too much for an '84, even with that low amount of miles. Those cars are selling for less than that with half the miles. The facts are these: they aren't "bad" cars. However, they are unpopular cars, at the very bottom of the Corvette food chain. Get mad all you like, but its the truth of the market. Its not because "people have never driven one." Its not because people are jealous of it. Really. Honest. Thats C4 Forum talk.
People who post here saying "non-Corvette people think of a C4 when they think of a Corvette..." I don't even know what to say to that, other than 1. that's not much of a recommendation and 2. I'm guessing there's a couple non-Corvette people that might think of a red solid axle, a split window or maybe a '67 big block convertible when they think "Corvette." But, hey, thats just me.
All that unpleasant market reality aside, the fact is you can't get much more bang for your buck than what you just bought. $7500 might be a terrible value in the Corvette market, but $7500 for a low mile fun car you can absolutely drive the wheels off of and not have much to lose is in fact a good value. So, forget the market and the status and drive the thing to death, and you will get your money's worth out of it.
You can find an 84 for $3750 with 17,000 miles??? A one owner excellent condition car. Right.
The stuff that gets thrown around here is nuts sometimes.
