All i'm saying is that I dont believe everything he is writing about halogens/HID's. Remember, he is trying to sell you halogens, not HID's And that goes for any site, not just his. From my personal experience with both halogens and HID's I can say that HID's are far superior, in my own experince. Obvisouly we have a conflict of interest, and thats fine too
As far as corvetteHID having the means & knowledge to produce what they say they are producing, we will have to wait and see. Both sites make compelling arguments.
It's true that he's trying to sell you halogens but he has the info to back it up, I don't see that from the HID side of things. Also how things are today with everyone wanting an HID system I think it would be a lot easier for him to sell HID than Halogen. If there's any argument as to why the HID kits would work or anything to counter DS's arguments I would like to know, but at this point I think he makes the best case.
Here's a before/after pic to show how good a Halogen system can be. This is a guy with a Jeep but it has the same exact bulbs and housings as my Vette in the after pic.
Before
After
The light is evenly distributed its not bright and focused up close.
I see pretty good light distribution on the corvetteHID kit as well. Nice, wide and evenly distributed
I see a spotlight effect right in the middle of the area that is lit up in that pic. I did not see that effect in OEM systems like my Mercedes or my brothers BMW M3 (which is the nicest HID system I've seen in person btw). Anyways I do agree that OEM vs OEM, HID does look more pleasant to the eye, at least to me. I like to put DS's website out there so people that are thinking of upgrading have all the options. Also I'm not a fan of DS himself as he does not answer emails when you ask him for help, so if the parts he mentions can be outsourced that's the way I would recommend to do it.
What system did you go with? Is this a system form Ebay?
Yes I ordered from an ebay seller that a few people on here recomended. See first post.
I went with Hi/Low mini ballasts though. I don't think anyone has tried those yet. I should have these installed this weekend for a review and some pics.

Are you just sticking those bulbs in your reflector housing, or do you have a projector to put them in?

I already have a reflector housing I'm going to try first but I'm pretty sure I'll be swapping it out for a better one or swapping it for a projector type housing.

You should definitely put them in a projector housing so you dont blind on-comming motorists. Good luck bro looking forward to the finished results!

Any idea where to get the projector housings? I emailed CorvetteHID and received a responce but now I cant reach them via email. I think the servers are down. Does anyone know if their housing are sealed or will they accept a standard H4?
Well I finally put my order in tonight. I was on the fence due to cost, but I figured it is worth it for the safety, especially for when my wife is driving the vette. I will let you know how it turns out and what I think.
Not plug n play. You will have to rip apart the factory harness to make that work. CorvetteHIDs kits are ready to be installed with the proper weather tech plugs and connectors.

Rickreeves1, I saw the same ones on eBay, there are a few companies selling them. It looks like the "projector lens" is a gimmick though, you can see one tab on the top of the lens and one on the bottom holding it in place. Basically it looks like the lens is just sitting there and still lets the light scatter around the reflector bowl and doesnt concentrate the light through the lens. You can see that the lens is just sitting there in space and just for show
I wouldnt spend the extra money on the eBay "projector" setup. It's the same as leaving the bulb in the OEM housing it seems.
