Default HID Lights?

It's been at least a few weeks since the last HID thread... In the next day or two I am going to order some HID lights for my 95. I already have some aftermarket housings. Whats the latest recomendation? Does anyone make a projected beam for the C4 with focused HID's? The two kits below have caught my attention.

I'd say if your vette is your daily driver and/or you do drive it at night go for it. HID lights are an improvement but if your vette is a weekend warrior, buy the Silverstars.

My 95 is my only car and daily driver at the moment. It sees a lot of night driving.

I ended up making an offer on the first HID kit and got it for $120 with free shipping. I went with the 6000k temp. I'm wondering if I should have gone with the 8000k. I have some fake Xenon lights on it now and I like the slight blue tint but the lighting is not that good. I hope the 6000k looks the same but with better lighting on the road. I'll report back after the install.

Here's how it looks now with the old lights. Can't see blue tint in the day. I'll post an after pic when the new lights are in.

looks good, i say you went the right direction by getting the 6000K, it gives you just a hue of blue without being really blue like the 8000K. i have the 6000K's in my truck, and i do alot of night driving, just remember to aim your lights down just a little, or you will be getting flashed all the time

I would go with the Xenon for sure. a friend has them on his 91' 300zx and they look sick. when we ride together he has to stay next to me or in front, i can't even deal with his low beams in my mirror. i replaced my headlights with silverstar's 6000k, and need to upgrade.

Hey Rick...
I put HID's in my '90 and it started to melt the wires behind the light. From the plug back I mean. I don't know what you would have to do to eliminate that but that is the problem I had with the HID's. You'll love the light they throw though. It's incredible IMO!!!!

Wow, those are incredible. They are alot more than I expected to pay for upgrading lights but they look like they may be worth it.

They look great and their web sit is very informative. I drive over the road trucking and my new Kenworth has HIDs in it they are the best by far. I have tryed all kinds of other head lights in past trucks the HIDs are best I have found. I am going to get a set of these for my C4.

Wow drmrman I see you have a projector lens for the main headlights. Any chance you could post some pictures that show the output of the projector lenses?

This is mine with silver stars and 10000k Xeons in the fogs.

I bought mine from this ebay guy, it was no frills customer service but then again it only cost 58 dollars, you can't go wrong. You need to get the 880/881 bulb, that's what I bought for my 95, the early c4's might have different bulb not sure.

Get in touch with Yosi at corvettehid and Im sure he'd be able to hook you up!

Its expensive but its a KIT! Un like all the other HID set ups that you have to piece together and splice wiring... This is all plug and play, weather proof harnesses, and instant ilumination! No guessing whether you installed it the "right" or "wrong" way!

I was out with the vette last night and I was going to take some shots... But I forgot to bring the camera with me... Possibly this weekend! Check www.corvettehid.com they have plenty of pics and vids of the set up installed!

It's nice to see a kit with an actual projector, instead of just sticking an HID bulb in the reflector housing and scattering light all over the place. I guess its not too bad $$ considering breathless is charging over a grand for standard Halogens.

I think im gonna jump on this deal.

Hey Drmrman, did you get the clear lens upgrade they offer?
