I just bought a 88 vette and very new to this fast car , A couple of things was wondering ? The cruse doesn`t work and it look like the viacom is correct. The other thing is the radio has a mind of its on when I pull the stringwheel out a couple of times it works I am sure its a short but any Idea on this stuff. Oh its my dream car to cool.

In most cases on cruise control problems are vacuum related IME. Also check sensor on brake pedal for proper function.
Radio..There are alot of wires under or near the wheel coloum. If its a factory bose stereo, they are basicly junk when they are not working properly.
