I have lived in ca. for 40 years. On the frist day I retire in 2012 I will pack all my stuff up and get out of ca.

The people who run the state of Ca. are a bunch of clueless socialists. They don't want people to drive any car no matter what color it is. Their idea of utopia is everyone riding the bus or staying home eating free cheese. These idiots are turning a once prosperous and beautiful state into a third world country.

Did you hear the latest ? The Cal state green freaks want to ban sales of black cars in the state of Cal. They feel the black cars soak up too much sun and radiate it back thereby increasing global warming. God help us all.

Well, if you read the link in the OP, you'll find out that's what the whole thread is about.

However you don't have it quite right. It's not that they think the black cars will radiate heat and increase global warming. They think black cars will be warmer inside, causing the owners to use the AC more and burn more gas, thereby causing more global warming.

Either way, it adds up to -

 

THere's worse things to get upset about.
You wait till the speed cameras kick in. After that it's sat-nav speed controllers.

We here in Ca. have the wonderful oppertunity to get our pictures taken daily when we drive thru an intersection. IF you go thru the intersection late, they take 4 angles of pics of you and send you a ticket for 391 dollars.

Big Brother is watching! And I agree, someone will try to put in GPS-based speed controllers. If you're on a road which is posted for 65, that's all you'll be able to do. They'll probably even try to find a way to control the rate at which you accelerate, to allow optimum fuel economy.

No way would or could I live there, The people in power are out of there minds. Althought I do believe the traffic cameras will be every where soon just another way for goverment to get there hands into our pockets. I also read where they will use them to do insurance checks. Now I agree running lights & driving with no insurance is against the law I'm just not sure I like this way to inforce it.

 

Anyone who lives in Ca. and has the ability to leave deserves everything that those lunatics in charge throw at them. Sorry, but Ca. is an awful place to live and if you can leave but don't, you're an idiot. I'm not surprised one bit that they're trying to do this. If you can leave Ca., get the hell out of there before the state implodes. This is what happens when you have a state where the leaders invite and shield illegal immigrants, give away the treasury in welfare, have gang problems that they refuse to deal with, dream up stupid-*** global warming theories designed to make your way of life worse, etc. Sounds a lot like what our new muslim non-President is doing, huh?

Wow - with 25% or better (more than anywhere else) of the annual Corvette production sold in CA, guess that says something about the car and it's owners. Oh well, I think the State wants people to leave and one of the underlying themes of the Revenue Loss (Budget Cuts & Tax Increases which would be mitigated if we had less people to serve) seems to be to get those who aren't contributing out of here. That's happened in the past, only this time, there's nowhere for anyone to go - no Seattle - no Vegas - so we're stuck with a new wave of Trailer Park moveups that swarmed here when Liar Loans were readily available. Perhaps they don't like Green (and I think mandating that anyone who services your car checks tire air pressure is as silly as it can get), but they don't seem to vote either. For all you Vette owners though, think about whether or not there would even be a Vette - but for CA.
