If you are looking into a C4, go with a 96 LT4.

All engines are good, you can always find a C4 with low mileage, if you are lucky enough. I bought my 96 with 69,700

Dont buy one with 140k, a sbc can get there but its living on borrowed time. Look around there are more out there with less miles/rebuilt pieces in them.
TBI is not a racers car (if youre buying a C4 you arent going to be winning drag races with one anyway stock) but TBI is extrememly reliable and "dumb", meaning not much to go wrong.
Depends, like others have said what you do and dont want in a C4. Some like the gadgets, ie PKE, CCM, airbags, etc personally I think its more crap that can break on you. To each their own.

Yea,quite a few people. Some say these motors dont start to live until around 70,000 miles and the ZR-1 drives no different than any other C4 out there, just a whole lot quicker

Mine had 146k on it when I sold it, ran like a bat out of hell. honestly one of the most reliable cars Ive had. its being daily driven right now and probably will for a long time. Hard to break those motors.
