Door panel fix,or rig.
So I went back and forth on spending $700.00 on new panels. Well I ordered new felts. But my top piece's were broken pretty bad. So I glued them back on. I tried to run black glue along the seam. Didnt come out to good. So then I did this to cover the glue seam. Not sure if I like it or not. But im only out about $60 bucks. You cant see but the center piece and speaker cover are carbon fiber.
I am restoring my panels as well, and I too know how expensive the new panels are. My panels were broken pretty badly too, but I managed to fix them. If you end up hating the cover, tear it off and buy new panels.

I rebuilt my door panels. I stripped them down. Dyed them charcoal, put in a new inner window seal, new window pads, reglued everything back together, Removed everything and scrubbed the lightings down. Cleaned up the wiring and connectors and am putting in leds instead of halogen lights in them. Also bought new door panel carpet pieces. It looks just as good as the new ones in the magazine do. I also added a new piece that runs along the top and door bezel vents. Total cost was under 300 dollars. Corvette recycling and Ecklers got me there. They were shot and now they look fantastic. I also got the speaker covers stripped down to the bare metal, painted them high gloss black and sent them to Flasunshine and he dipped them in Carbon fiber for me. Once I get them slapped back up with the new interior screw kit, I wills snap a picture. I refused to pay 1000 dollars for door panels....

Wires? These were direct fit replacement. you can get any color you want. www.v-leds.com I redid all my exterior lights with their parts. Great customer service. Direct fit. No wiring, splicing or adding resisters. Pop out the old bulb. Put in the new one and it's done. Very bright and so much more attractive.

Do you know which ones I need for an 88 door panel light ? Thanks
Mine is 212-2. Ecklers says the same thing. If you want a "nice" led color, get warm white. It is like the new Lexus/mercedes look inside and really lights up the cabin with out looking ricer/cheap. I was doing blue... http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...-p4481172.html
Thats the white ones. You should double check for your year though. I love my leds.
