Hey guys, So I'm a 21 yo Male and just bought my first vette from a guy about 4 0r five months ago (in december). It doesn't really seem like my type of car. I came out of a 1994 3000GT (not by choice, I was hit) and that was my baby. I am interested in if you guys think I got a GOOD deal and what all I could do to it (inexpensively) to make it more personal to me. Also, what should be done to enhance the car overall? Blackout lights? I paid $6000 for it. Has 113,000 miles on it, borla exhaust (or so I was told, I know the back of the pipes are borla, but was also said they could be ZR1 pipes). Has axcel electronic upgrade and a ZR1 computer (or so that's what I was told). Said it has the SS wheels from a ZR1, but I don't see why this says "SS" on it instead of the twin flag corvette symbol.
Can you guys shed some light on this for me? I've always been an import guy (Ricer as its called) but I knew my limits in it, I didn't try to outrun stuff I KNEW would eat me alive, lol. Just lookin for some input here. THANKS TO ALL!
Looks like you got a good deal I think black is my favorite color on a vette. Just one word of advice. If you drive that vette too much, you may become addicted to vettes. Im an addict. I hope you enjoy your new vette.
not real much other than painting calipers, intake, ETC. and matching other things to the color, we alll have many of the same little trinkets because there are only so many for them. The thing that really seperates the men from the boys in this hobby car, is MONEY. You could buy perfformance upgrades, then it becomes a whole new world of car, and that makes it some what unique compared to another guy on the block with one.
Houston, we have a problem. Over. That steering wheel cover needs to be thrown out in space.
lol, like I said, I have done absolutely nothing to this car, other than replace a few parts and change the oil.
I like this though, any input to me is good input, even the steering wheel cover lol

Great looking car. Seems like a really good deal for 6K. Check out Zaino products for detailing and leather conditioner. Also, Mid America, Ecklers, and others can help with the excess weight in your wallet.
Nice Vette, I love black Vettes as well, mine is a 93. As far as the deal, it only matters that YOU think you got a good deal. For what it's worth, I don't think you got hurt.
As far as mods, can't help you there, I like em the way Chevy built em, all stock for me.......
Welcome and congrats! Looks like a decent deal to me, and if my friend's experience with his 3000 GT VR4 some years ago is any indication, the Vette will be much cheaper to maintain. From your pics it looks like you may want to think about replacing the weatherstripping (a pretty common issue) - willcoxcorvettes.com (a forum vendor) has a replacement kit for a reasonable price. You can learn plenty about your car here - enjoy!
Good deal, looks like whoever you got it from liked to work on it.
Those dont look like stock valve covers tho, so it makes me wonder if he changed other engine parts.
I'd ask him to see some reciepts on the work done or parts put on it.
If you like working on cars you could have allot of fun with it.
good luck
ps. how fast you want to go? how much money you have to spend will be the question
Looks pretty good. Has it been in an accident? The reason I am asking looks the air bag popped in the steering wheel. Other than that the car looks good.....
Yea, I dont care so much about speed and I dont have much money at all right now. Im more of a looks and sounds kinda guy, too much speed gets me in too much trouble lol.
As far as the air bag, the thing just randomly went off on me when I was driving down the interstate one night, now wreck or anything just completely random
oh, and I do enjoy working on cars, spent more time under my 3kgt than I did behind the wheel, learned that car inside and out...looks like I have a new one to learn about though.

You are going to wish you never said those words. Your going to wish you had that time behind your old car because C4s....Need I go on?

im guessin require ALOT of work?
Personally, I dont really see the vette as my type of car. I dont have alot of money to drop into it. Have actually already thought about selling it to quite honest
