Congrats on getting your first Corvette so young. Enjoy it!!!!
OK... I am getting ready to retire - have wanted a vette for about 45 years. Almost took the plunge a couple weeks ago with a 79, but was talked out of it. Now I've got a 1994 in my sights. It's got just less than 70K miles and looks fabulous. Tell me about your experiences with the 94's and give me one good reason not to go for it.
Thanks,

Thanks,
thanks, but im confused? the only 94 I had was a 3000GT, I see nothing wrong with any of the vettes whatsoever, just not really my bag of tricks. Besides the fact they aren't too happy about gas, I really see no problem with any vette

They're lighter then a 3000 gt and should get better gas mileage then the 3000GT on the highway, around town it depends on how heavy your foot is.
What do you mean by "enhance" it? If you're looking for go fast it's a gen 1 SBC you're limited by your wallet. If you're looking for styling I say find some different wheels. Nothing against the A-molds but they've been done to death. Under the hood almost everything can be either polished or painted and you can give it your own look.

I used to be JDM Rice- '02 Si K20 sold, and an '05 Civic for the wife still.
I loved the 3000GT's- but after my buddy got one, I lost the desire and almost bought an S2000. I'm glad I went with the vette- Much more power!
About the Mileage- mine has over 145,000 miles on it. I get 25MPG on the freeway -consistently! And trying to be a granny in city (automatic shifts under 2200rpm) has it around 19MPG! That's better than most people think, and only about 4-5mpg less than my Honda Si was getting!
You just can't use the gas pedal!
...and No Burn outs!
Plus- I use cruise control and stay at speed limits at all times. I don't have a front license plate yet, and they ARE REQUIRED here! So I play by all the rules. If gas goes back up to $5 a gallon, I'll still drive it with pride!
Go Vols! I'm from Knoxville myself, Strawberry Plains. I've lived in OH for 20 plus years, but almost all of my family still lives around Knoxville. Hopefully we will have a better football season this year.
Anyway, your Vette. I suppose it is a 90 model. 84-90 body style with the Speed Density system. Someone has at least had the valve covers off, because those are not stock valve covers. Who knows, too hard to tell. There are a few low dollar upgrades you can do. The place to start is with the exhaust system. You have three cats and restrictive mufflers. If the cats are original, you may have some restriction. You did mention Borla, so maybe someone has put a new cat back exhaust on. Good Luck with your Vette. If you have any questions, anyone on the forum will be glad to help, myself included.

As far as the air bag, the thing just randomly went off on me when I was driving down the interstate one night, now wreck or anything just completely random
well it was QUITE the surprise...didnt tickle either. Ok so any ideas where I could check to see why Im getting such bad gas mileage? I dont lay into and I drive pretty steadily (been told a few times I should be running a baby like that, but disagree lol) but im still only getting about 15-17 mpg everywhere I go.
Welcome to the addiction and enjoy the ride. We bought our first Vette just about a year ago-a black 85 with the 4+3 transmission. It needed some things replaced-horns, rear window struts, speakers (out with the BOSE-the previous owner had added a CD deck) and it the idle needs to be corrected. other than that it is now cosmtic things, but we got it for around 6,500.00 with new tires, exhaust, battery and brakes. Don't forget the wave.
