Default What do you call these???

Looking for the oblong plastic insert that is sloted and expands when a screw is screwed into it.

Particluar ones are the ones behind the door panels where the lock, door handle, light trim panel goes. There are three of these plastic oblong things that go into the metal. I do not know what these things are called nor where to find some.

Anyone?

Thanks

After more searching I think I found these to be GM 1377030 or Au-ve-co 10365. Both call them a bar grommet. Found them on the 'Net for $7.28 for a 100 of them, slightly more than I need, but guess I will have plenty of spares on-hand.

Thanks

Look in the 'help' section at your local auto parts store. I have heard them called 'bathtub anchors' in the past.

The only place I have seen them is in the rocker panel mounts on my vette.

Wife calls that a "thingy". I have used a drywall anchor, cut off for a shallow grip.
