I had the Autozone folks run a scan on my LT4 and they said that my O2 sensor was bad on my
number two cylinder? So I come back here and search only to find the my D@#$ car has four
O2 sensors. So can I replace the two on the #two side? or do all four?
Also, are the Densi(sp?) brand decent? If I have to buy all four that would save me a lot of
money over the ACDelco brand. When I search for O2 sensors, I get the same one for all four
spots. Is that right?
Not the most interesting subject I agree. I have decided to replace all 4 sensors......going to have to do it someday. Anyway let me just ask this, can I buy 4 of the same sensor and where is a good place to order them?
Hope your shotgun approach is successful, but to me it points out that the free "service" offered by parts stores reading codes is simply a gimmick to sell parts. ANY good scan tool will identify which of the four O2 circuits is out of range. NO scan tool can tell you for sure the sensor itself is bad, correct diagnosis requires additional troubleshooting using the FSM.
O2 codes can be caused by other fuel or ignition problems, the wiring or even a failed catalytic converter.
My parts CD indicates all 4 sensors on your LT4 are the same so even if you have no FSM you could buy one sensor and try it it differnent locations to isolate the problem but having someone scan it again who has no interest in selling parts would be a better starting point, good luck.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll take it and get another scan. Actually I am thinking of buying a scanner of my own. They're only about $60 on ebay and that's about the cost of 1 sensor. Then I would have it.

Thanks again.
Great idea, the Factory Service Manual is another purchase that will pay for itself quickly, also give some thought to spending a little more to get a true scan tool rather than a code reader.
In addition to reading and erasing codes, a scan tool can display sensor values which can be very helpful with diagnosis.
