Let me know if you have troubles with the opti, I can make a trip to Columbia and pass some tools if needed. It really isn't that bad.

Put your backside wires on before you install the distributor.

The OEM unit is designed to last 160,000 miles and often go to 250,000 if your water pump doesn't get it.
That's as long as any aftermarket OPTI will last at a lower cost.
All units are good to 7700 RPM s and unless you have full race you don't really need the timing adjustment on the MSD.

And with the OEM there has never been an issue with rotor screws coming loose and cratering the rotor and cap.

Save money buy an OEM from Parts Direct a sponsor to the web site.

As far as the OPTI s bad reviews it's simply not the opti's fault some idiot stuck it up under the water pump in harms way !

I have an Accel on my hot rod but it will get an OEM unit or a MAG if I have any problems.

Thanks for the input, think I will go with the OEM opti when I need one.
