Warped head is unlikely, though I will check it out. Would seem likely but I have stainless steel heads, so I was told that it is highly unlikely, but Im pretty sure we are going to rebuild the heads and valves anyway just to keep from them goin bad in a couple months with all the added pressure after the head gasket

You must have after market heads then if they are SS

In all honesty, I'm not sure, I don't know an THING about vettes except what I have learned on here, I didnt even know my valve covers werent stock, so Ill put up a couple pics of my engine and let me know (if you dont care let me know anything else you see that is not stock too)
the vette has an L-98 350 tuned port injection

Well stock heads would be aluminum
From the photo the distributor valve covers & wires are all non stock
About all I can see from photo
