-90 Alarm module testing?
I have one used part from a -91 vette, and if i know pin id i can test it on bench. I dont want to dig into my dash if my replacement part is also defect.
It has 4 "blade pins", and is located behind drivers information panel(above a/c panel).
Color code of the wiring is also ok info.
Sorry for my bad English.
Regards
Raymond from Norway
A is the ground (.5 blk/wht)
B is Chime 1 input (.5 ppl/yel)
C is Chime 0 input (.5 ppl/yel)
D is main power (.5 red/blk)
B & C inputs are from the CCM.
D is fed from the LCD fuse.
A is grounded at S213 ( IP harness at base of steering column) and from there to G106 at the LR of the engine.
Hope this helps.
. Sorry for my bad english :o.I have one used spare alarm module on my table and want to test it (on bench) before installing it, but i dont know wich pin contact is A,B,C or D on the module?(no markings on it). If it doesnt test ok it is not nessecary to dismantle part of my dash to get to it.
Should be easily tested using a 12v battery by giving it power on D, ground on A and should chime when grounding B or C, or B and C together(3 different tones).
Cant find this connector layout in my wiring manual either, chapter 8a.
If someone has their dashboard open and can easily look at the connector(or has a picture of it) it will help alot. Thanks!
Raymond
