I have a Red Top in mine. Some Corvette guys have had a problem with the top posts hitting the brace, I had no such issue.

Optima batteries make great doorstops.
Had two that bad from the factory, third lasted three months (and this was with a battery tender on it). Gave up currently have no battery in the Vette right now as I've been working on it fo quite awhile. And FYI I did have to trim my brace minorly to clear the top post on the Optima.

BTW: I've been running the same cheap azz 43 dollar Walmart Neverstart in my DD for five years now without a problem and its only a 4 year battery.

If you do a search on the forum you'll see quite a few negative opinions on Optima. Grant you there are some positive but there is still enough negative to question the product.

I started out liking them but now they have turned into junk!!! They don't last at all. They WERE made in the USA but a few years ago, they were switched to Mexico and it has gone down hill. I still have a Red Top in my car but it's about to hit the Disposal center soon.

They were good but just like everything else - made out of the country and getting worse in quality.

Just wait til GM cars are made in Mexico. Talk about the entire car being junk and not just the battery.

Oh ****. So they give us Spongebob lead filled toys for our children? What now. Do we need parachutes for our street cars??? I guess a rear wheel flying off at 65 MPH is safe, having your exaust fumes pumped into your car because they are so cheaply built we don't even get a full exaust pipe? WHAT IF THE STEERING WHEEL FALLS OFF IN OUR LAP? OH GOD, THE HORROR! Seriously, I have two legs that God gave me and I'll be damned if I will drive a chinese made car. Im not trying to be rude but if my life is in the hands of sweatshops with orphan children labor, walking is just fine with me. Build all you want for as cheap as you want, this American will walk till I burn holes in the soles of my shoes.

I agree. Just because companies want to put more money in their pocket, doesn't mean they should make ****ty products.

I recently replaced a failing Bosch battery with an Autozone gold label for my 93 Corvette. It fits good and dosen't leak so far (6 months).

I use Walmart batteries in my F150, Lincoln Towncar, 4-Runner and JD 445 Garden tractor all with good good results.

I just couldn't put a Walmart battery in her.........but screw the others LOL !

What size did you put in? Did you have to modify anything?
I have had good luck with Optima in my Camaro but a size 75 will hit the brace.
