Default courtesy light delay timer

Have a current draw traced to courtesy lights. Need location of the timer on 1985 Corvette. Thanks.

Default Courtesy Light Delay Timer

Is located on the passenger side of the car, behind the "crash pad". I recently replaced mine on my '85 coupe.

Remove the kick panel with the lamp that illuminates the passenger side foot well. The delay timer is taped to a large wire bundle behind the pad near the ECM. Early modules were black, yours might be black or beige.

Good luck. I'm in the process of diagnosing an inoperative rear window defogger myself. If you know of any "quickies" on this one, lemme know. I thought it might be a circuit breaker or fuse in the fuse panel but my '85 doesn't show a separate fuse. Yours?
