Looks like the owner has a bunch of money in body mods. Not a fan of the wing and body kit but if you like it then that is what counts.
If it starts, runs and stops good and all the electrical goodies work then it seems OK.
Google Corvette America to find out the cost of interior parts. Check that the weatherstripping and the inner and outer window seals are good. If they are shot then you will find that replacing them is horribly expensive. Try the Corvette Central or Mid America Motor Works web sites to obtain pricing info.
Go to the events section of this Forum to find someone who lives nearby to go look at it with you. Get it off the ground and check the wheel bearings. That job is not easy to do yourself and quite expensive to have done at a shop.
I say again to anyone looking at a used C4. Have someone with some experience with these models go look at it for you or with you. They need to be honest with you as I am sure you have stars in your eyes that can blind you to the cars faults.
Good luck in your search!
Ya i like his but the inside is horrible. I have a 90 camaro with some work that i will have to sell so i wont have alot of money to spend but i think i can get it with my parts and stuff. I would like to buy one with a LT1 but their just out of my price range right now. Oh and we test drove it in the rain and it has the targa top and it didnt leak or nothing.
thanks
kevin
I for got to say that he would take 5500. He said its a Lingenfelter built 350 with 380hp not sure whats done and forgot to ask about paper work. He is a member of the corvette club and he would sometimes race it in the cones and stuff thats why theirs a roll bar. Then he also said their is different shocks and struts not sure what brand. But i guess the corvette club gives out 2 corvette a year and he was the lucky one that go a 09 Z06.

The interior can be replaced about 1K photos look good nice wheels shinny paint you can get the speedo fixed if its a real low mile Lingenfelter motor and you like the car $5,500.00 dosen't seem all that bad. Be nice to know how long since rebuild

the paint is in ok shape the is 3 cracks in the body that are about 3inches long. Then on top of the spoiler some one keyed it pretty badidiots. But it runs good and looks pretty good but the inside. I am going to be going into my last year in high school. I do go to a career center and i am in the body work so i am not that worried about the cracks and stuff.

If you like it, I don't think you'll get hurt for $5,500. I know I paid just $200 more for a spotless 93 LT1 automatic, but if this style floats your boat go for it!
well me and my dad are going to be looking at it friday and i jus hope i can get my car sold and mabey the parts. So if anyone wants a nice third gen camaro talk to me i have alot parts and a complete LT1 motor.

Might prove a good learning experience but you can get in over your head so know what your dealing with. the Doug Nash 4+3 and the Lingenfelter motor with updated suspension is not bad . Do you know if its still a crossfired motor?
I didn't find a lot of information on a cross fire Lingenfelter motor execpt they were 383's you need to ask this guy what parts he has that he can say its a Lingenfelter
I've always been a bit suspect of things on Craig's List especially cars. I don't think it looks bad at all but I for one am not a fan of the tail and effects kit and especially that he raced it from time to time...it's hard to find a vette that was "owned by an old lady and driven to the grocery store" but I'd certainly look to buy one that is of the more stock variety and whose owner is a bit older.
I think with what you say is wrong with it I would probably keep looking. It might turn into a good ride or a endless money pit. It's like the roll of the dice. Personally I'd invest more money intially a get a well taken care of C-4 with less problems and mileage. Good luck.
Oh i will! im going to listin to you guys! Also he said it has a hydraulic clutch and it feels pretty good. Is that good or just watever? Then you kinda have to give it gas to get going out of first? He also said it has to be ran on premium gas.
