Default Help!! Windshield replace questions

I bought this car recently and started working on it. I know I need the factory service manuals. Anyway.....I ordered a new windshield glass. Now the questions....Is there any other WS other than the lower inner seal? Is the small thin stuff around the windshield called outer moulding or is that considered WS. I would like to know what I need to order. This car is way different from my 64.
Thanks in advance, Dan

You got it right.....big one that goes around the outside and a small thin one at the bottom of the inside. Make sure you take it to someone who has done c-4's, if you do a search on here you can read about the nightmares. I called my local chevy dealer and asked them who does their corvettes. The big hassle is the moldings, if it has ever had a replacement, they were probably glued in and they are a pain to clean up and you might need new ones. My windshield guy spent 4 hours cleaning mine up and didn't charge me.

Thank you for your answer. It sure helps. I wonder if I can take off the mouldings and clean them myself before the window guy shows up. Of course, if I buy new ones, I would think they would last until the car's demise way down the line. The shop quoted me $185 for the moulding and $35 for the inner seal. Thanks again for the reply.
