does anyone trailer their car to shows? i'm planning on doing the bloomington gold and ncrs stuff next summer and i am not going to drive my car that far the original tires. so i'm looking to get a trailer. but i have no idea what to look for. also, what would be a good SUV to use to haul it. i'm in the market for a new SUV for the wife, so i might try to kill two birds with one stone if i can.
all up to you, a horse a piece between them all. search for prices and milage you like, and for the trailer how much you got to spend and how important is the hauling. check craigslist and ebay they are popping up on these forums too. I just seen a car hauler trailer a few days ago on one of these forums.
It depends on what you want, open or enclosed trailer.
I bought an open trailer with tandem wheels, sloped rear with detachable ramps, low fenders, and no side rails. Most trailer manufacturers will have one that is specifically for Cars. I think mine is 18 Ft. long
I paid $1500.00 for it about 15 years ago. It was new.
i almost feel like i should get an enclosed trailer. i would only use it for long trips and maybe some real early or real late season shows when the weather is sketchy. i've never bought a trailer or even looked for one, do i didn't know if anyone had any 'don't do this' stories.
