Default Plug wires?

Thinking about changing my old stock wires and I'm thinking about after market ones. How are Excels or are there other wires that are better? Haven't used anything else but stock in all the cars for years. Anyone have a opinion?

I use the MSD 8.5 mm wires. Got them from Summit, no problems. I did have an issue at one time where a mechanic "thought" that the problem was perhaps the wires and MSD warrantied out the set. Turned out not to be the problem so now I have the new set on the car and the old set on the shelf.

I had Accels wires on my car originally, but switched to the MSD. The MSD's are alot better quality to me. Thicker wire and a better boot.

I've MSD wires in the past and was very happy with their performance and looks. However, when it came time to do the wires for my 85, I chose the original AC / Delco wires. There were cheaper and I knew I wouldn't have a problem. I'm just stuck with that ugly grey color.

I replaced mine with AC Delco wires, same as the original.

Other wires would only look different, with little or no difference in performance.

Moroso Blue MAX custom (specifically for the LT1/4) wires for my son's 96 LT1. $71.XX from PerformanceParts.com

Taylors are excellent too. Availability was the problem; couldn't wait two weeks.

I used Summit brand TPI set 8mm...they are blue and pretty, pre-made and cheap. Seem to be of excellent quality.
