 Trust Scorp to do the field testing:D Keep us posted. BTW, the 60/100w regular bulbs can be found in the snowmobile parts area at C.T. I run them in both my snow machines!
 you swear by Crappy tire eh? i go there to buy all my car care stuff i stick to Lordco for my parts cuz i get 30% off everything.
Got an email form them this morning. They are going to fedex them for $6 instead of UPS red lable for $20 or whatever it was I selected. They said that it wasn't worth it to me as the FedEx should be here on Monday just like UPS would of been. They are only in NY.
I have gone through a couple of sets of the bulbs from Classicgarage, but I have gone back to the regular 885 bulbs. Reason is that the bulbs has a very short life. For me they lasted about 2 months with some driving every day. The fog-light are always on as DRL's are mandatory here but that should not cause a quality bulb to run out that quick.
BTW The light output was good (I used 885/50W ones) with a slight bluish tone to them, but the light from a regular 885 bulb is brighter..

I thought that was nice of them!
that is pretty darn cool of em, they're saving you cash :)
I checked out $'s for APC & PIAA xenon bulbs at the local speed shop. HA, $70 for 2 APC's and $130 for PIAA's  . Thats just plain stupid , there's no way they are THAT good. I'll stick with the 80/100w Kimpex snowmobile one's for $12-15 each.
I found some foglight bulbs that match the APC headlights pretty good. I ordered them from Extremewhite.com. I ordered them online Monday and I got them today and just installed them. Not too bad. They have a blue tint to them just like the headlights. The bulbs cost me $43.90 total (That includes shipping). They are part # 4756-Heliolite 894-894 37.5W Xenon HID bulbs. I need to clean my foglight lenses to make them brighter though.
Just a queston for all those running this setup....are the Hella's that come with the package the E-code beam pattern? They use H-4 bulbs right? I have recently been doing some serious research on headlamp bulbs and I have come across a lot of people who are of the opinion that the APC bulbs are very poorly made and that any lighting gains you see are purely due to their extremely high wattage. I was thinking of just ordering the Euro Hella housings and going with some Osram Silverstar H4 bulbs (Euro version, not U.S.). These bulbs are untinted and achieve greater light output due to a more tightly wound filament and more precise positioning. http://www.osram.com/products/automo...ilverstar.html
Another route I was thinking of taking was to upgrade to real Hi-intensity Discharge lamps. No, I'm not talking about one of those hack job kits which grafts an H4 base onto a Arc capsule so you can put it into a housing designed for halogen lights, but one of the new Xenarc systems from Osram/Sylvania which have the proper optics to handle Arc-discharge light; They have a drop in solution to replace the H6054. http://www.sylvania.com/xenarc/prodinfo.htm
The system runs about $750, but it gives you real lighting performance, not just that "super-duper-hyper-white" look.
The Hella Vison Plus that I installed came with 55/60w HB2 bulbs. They look just like an H4 bulb but are suppost to be made to tighter/ better tolerances. I believe they Hella's are a Modified "E" code to meet US standards. The light from them, I think, is really good so switching to APC etc for the high $'s they cost just isn't worth it. Like in my other post, I'm just going to switch to the 80/100w H4's from my snowmachines in the spring and see how much of a difference they make, and hope they don't get too hot.

Re: Hella / APC Headlamp Conversion Help (djpearn)
I got the foglights yesterday guys and put them in today. Don't waste your $, they look identical to the normal 885 bulbs except for a very vague blue hue at the outside of the foglight housing reflector. Waste of $29.92. Oh well.
