I just installed the Hella headight conversion kit in my car with the APC Super White bulbs and it works great. I would recommend it to any one. Has anyone been able to find find fog light bulbs to match the headlight bulbs? I don't like turning my foglights on because they are now a different color than my headlights. Any help or info on where I could get matching bulbs would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to find someone who made a kit to put real driving lights in place of the factory housing. In Europe fog lights are just that, they are used in the fog, they are ultra low and send a VERY bright beam pattern that lights up the road, much like a HID headlights do. They are only used in Fog or when there isn't any oncomming traffic. I would love something like this, but here in America everybody drives around with their fog lights on all the time so they have to make them crappy so as to not blind anybody, which results again in everybody driving with them on so they can try to milk as much of the crappy light that they can so they might can see 3 feet in front of them. It's a vicious cycle that really sucks. I think this country could learn a few things from Europe.
I would be tempted to see what could be done with the lights. Get some really cool bright lights and try to rig them into the stock housing, or if not in the stock housing at least behind the outer plastic so they would still be protected.
are you sure scorp? the fog lamps are 885's right? if so i found Xenon bulbs in 885.
Well, there are none that match the APC bulbs that I know of. I didn't see those links before. Perhaps if I get some spare cash to blow I will try them out. The stock bulbs are 880s in the early C4s. You can upgrade them to 885s.

So when are you going to order some and run a product analysis for us :D . BTW "West Coaster", Canadian Tire carries the 885 bulbs.
i'll buy them when i get some xenon bulbs for the headlights first
right now i'm just running regular hella halogens. and Crappy Tire doesn't sell xenon bulbs do they?
Maybe C.T. does carry them, they have a thick catalogue with all sorts of aftermarket things that they can order. I would suspect they can get them, I just never tried.
I am concerned about the heat generated by the high wattage lamps. I have a set of the Hella Vision Plus conversions with the stock 55/60w bulbs and I was surprised that the lens got so hot  while I was aiming them that I decided not to upgrade them for now. Has anyone else noticed this !!. I know that when you are moving the air will cool them somewhat but putting in a 60/100w bulb still worries me ?? :
Yes the APC bulbs get the Hella lenses toasty, but then again like you said air over them will help. The Hellas are glass, so I don't worry too much about it.

yeah i'm with scorp on this, they do get a lil warm but hey they are glass so shouldn't matter i am using regular hella halogen bulbs too

Ok I just ordered these next day air, not sure if they'll get here on Sat (hopefully) or Tuesday because of the holiday. We'll see how they work. :)
awesome let us know how to go cuz i'll be picking up a pair most likely
i like to drive with the fog lamps on while my headlights are on too :)
Those PIAA does look like an alomst perfect fit.. if i can get a hold of a couple of used light assy for the front, I might pick up a pair and see if I can get them to mount decent.
Anyone know whats involved in thaing the fog lamp assy out of an LT-1 car?
 Trust Scorp to do the field testing:D Keep us posted. BTW, the 80/100w regular bulbs can be found in the snowmobile parts area at C.T. I think they are only $12 each. I run them in both my snow machines!
