I got a 86 vette from this guy who tried to do a motor swap and couldnt finish. now i got the car for cheap, but i believe parts are missing and stuff, luckily it was only the drive belts and the middle piece to the intake manifold. but i cant find good diagrams for the brackets, vacuum hoses to the egr, fuel press.,A.I.R system, etc. does anyone have any good resources i could steal to get this beauty back to running prime????

Reason: forgot about the a.i.r
Invest in a FSM and I don't mean the Chilton's books at the auto parts stores which will be of little help in most cases. It will be one of your wisest investments if your planning to do your own work.
Thanks guys, this is deff going to be a good personality builder. thanks that is what I need, just a little out of my price range for it, since i gotta pick up bolts and etc haha. hopefully i could find one at a flea market or something. thanks again though.

If you are lucky to find it at a flea market, go for it.
But from the project you described; you are going to need it...check the FS section here too.
The one question no one asked is, was the attempted swap an L98 for L98, or did they attempt to swap a different engine model, i.e. LT1 or something like that. Of course assuming the engines are the same the FSM is the way to go.
The FSM will save 10 times what you pay for it. You really can't work on these cars with out one. The forum will help all we can but you need to spend the money now to save big time later
Thanks guys, I pretty much got the engine together, im just still confused if i got the vacuum lines right for the egr, fuel press., and the air system. I guess th guy was tryin to put in a bigger engine and just didnt get the job done. so what im tryin to do is keep it stock and put everything back together right. ill post pictures up of what I got accomplished and see if you guys with more experience see anything wrong. Besides the vacuum lines im kind stuck on how the exhaust check valve ports hook up to the port solenoid and about the driver side check valve??
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! You sir are a life saver right now. Thank you for sending that. Deff would have had a few things mixed up. I appreciate this big time!!!! Thanks a million!!!
I agree with everyone on needing the FSM in hand but this may allow her to get much further on the car while hitting CL and Ebay for her own FSM (I am assuming you are female Shirley).
I apologize in advance if I am wrong.
I hit Ebay infrequently (every few weeks) for the FSM for my 86......maybe you and I will get into a bidding war on one.
