I got another question, how bad are replica rims-and how cheesy and unreliabe (or not)

Just asking, cause i see them all over craigslist.

Do you suggest getting them or not?

I'm hoping within the next month or two I'm going to throw a Magnaflow Exhaust on it, the LT4 hotcam, and AFR 195cc heads. Then I'll have to post some vids of it tearing up the strip
Again, be careful on your expectations, there's a big difference between a $13K LT4 car and what you're going to find for $6K. Again, I think you need to be sure this is the best move for you. I have a VERY clean 93 LT1 that I bought last fall for $6,250 with 91K miles on it and it is immacculate. I wouldn't use it as a daily driver as nice as it is. Plus, there's a HUGE difference between a 96 LT4 car and my 93, and not just in cost. Plus, forget the cost of oil changes, just normal maintenance items are costly, you got a grand for tires?

Hope you find one that works out for you, they are a blast

nah dude it really isnt im 17 and it was cheaper for me to get a vette than a civic cause someone told me they go by how many accidents there are for a certain vehicle each year and most people take care of vettes so it was cheaper, who knew

insurance is however extremely expensive for a kid in any car

The collectors insurance wont fly. He must be at least 25 years old. plus have a Daily driver car and a garage. Its a shame,he sounds like a nice kid who would take better care of the car than someone a bit older.

Took a long time and looking at many cars. You just need to decide not to settle and buy the nicest, newest lowest mileage car you can afford. here's mine;

I'll buy it from you for the same price :P

And I do have a daily car.

This is how my car situation is.

I (my family) have a 2009 Mazda CX-9 leased. (moms)
My dad has a 2004 or so Ford Taurus he gets for work. (dads)
My sister lives in the city. (doesnt need car)
My other sister is a soph in college. (to young for car)

That leaves and extra car, a Volvo whatever, 2005.

my daily driver?!?!?!? :P

Well insurance isnt that bad. Its not cheap but not super expensive. I personally know because i am 17 and about to get my 3rd C4 Corvette. I have never wrecked any of them. My first was a 1996 Red C4 with a procharger, second was a 1984 just stock, and my third is going to be a 1995 but will just be a weekend car probably with a built motor.

kinda funny story.

im 18 and bought my own 87 coupe about a year and a half ago.

anyway about 2 months ago, i'm driving home from prom with my girlfriend and i come to a DUI checkpoint. the cop shines his light in, asks some questions and backs away for me to continue.

now, the car in front of me being questioned is probaly 25-30 feet in front of me, so i just slowly let off the clutch a little bit and roll the car about 5 feet before the cops start screaming and throwing a total fit.

"WOAH WOAH WOAH SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN!!!!"
rasing their arms and everything

whatever, so they let the car in front of me go, it takes off continue behind it before i hear

"Wouldn't Want to wreck daddys car now wouldja?"

Slam on the brakes, look him in the eye with the biggest smile,

"Oh no worries, ITS MINE" in the most ******* voice possible

The look on this cops face was unforgettable. Totally owned
