You very well know what "gains" are from a body kit. You are one of those haters that always gets onto these threads because u personally don't like body kits and feel it's ur duty to dissuade anyone else from doing so. No, I'm not Butch's wife, but I can safely state there is one and only one reason, one considers a body kit for their car, to (in their opinion) enhance the cars looks. If u don't like the look fine-don't buy one, but you don't have to come into these threads and start with the snide (what good do they do you?remarks). Ur custom wheels, air conditioning, stereo, power windows, and a whole lot of other goodies that come standard on ur 87 have not one iota to do with performance gains, yet I can guarantee u, no one gets on a stereo or wheel thread and asks: What gain does that mod do for ur Vette? I answered the same as anyone else would INCLUDING BUTCH- WE LIKE THE WAY THEY LOOK. Have a great day.

I have to say that this thread was going along very nicely and a lot of informative help was given to answer the Ops original question "Help finding body kit, until this post above.

I wish people would just answer a members question and stop posting condescending questions like this.

It was great. It rained Sat. morning right before we left the hotel for the show, it kept the heat down. Good show, we trade our 01 for an 05 on Friday then went to the rally. Did not mean to hijack the thread, just haven't seen you on here in a while.

Here is my 88' with the body kit that was on it when I bought it. I like the way it looks, that is why I have left it on.

Some don't like these, but as SO MANY have said, it is YOUR car, do what you like and enjoy. We all have different tastes and likes and dislikes. I just LOVE CORVETTES - was at Bloomington Gold, and have never seen such a beautiful variety of fine cars ever, all colors, all years, all types of mods
