I'm on the east coast can anyone tell me where I can get my 89 corvette l98 tpi system chromed for a reasonable price. also does anyone have any engine chrome parts for sale for the l98.
With a little work polishing paint some new valve covers and a few chrome caps the L98 can be made to look great. What I like best it's the last of the Chevy motors without covers on it. The other thing is if you do the clean-up and polishing your self you can enjoy the end results even better.
I polished just about all of the aluminum on my car. If you take your time the result can be impressive. Best of all you won't have much money invested. I used a dremel to do most of the work. Bigger flat areas I used a Black and Decker Mouse to sand, worked great for me. I have some pictures of it in the album here. Good luck with it and have fun.

sand till you get all the pits out. I started with 240 and finished with 2000. I used an aluminum wheel polish. I am still finding more things to polish. The nice thing for me is this car is not drivable yet, so I have plenty of time to polish things. I will try to get some better pictures of it the ones I took were with a cell phone.
