Was wondering who has experience. All stock 93 would the Flowmaster 40 American thunder be too loud or is the Super 40 the way to go.Ive listened on line ,how diffrent does it sound on street.Would love to do the Corsa on second car but not in budget
The Corsa System is expensive, but the Flowmasters droned so badly on mine that I didn't even want to drive it anymore. I finally bit the bullet, bought the Corsa and now I couldn't be happier with it. I know you don't have the scratch, but you'll probably spend close to same trying to get yours to sound the way you like it. Just my .02..hope it helps.
ps...where is Tabernacle?

Im 1/2 hour south of Bordentown NJ ,next to Medford NJ can be in Atlantic City in 45 minutes.
I had them on my car when it was completely stock, they weren't very loud but they made a ton of noise INSIDE the car None of the aftermarket exhausts are very loud on these cars when they are stock. I ended up with the Magnaflow #16837 which sounds wicked behind my 383 with headers.
iv got an x pipe and am thinking of magnaflos on the rear, anyone have that setup and how does it sound. I dont want it too lound just mean sounding. The shop will do it for 3 bills.
Definitely a lot of drone. I have 40s on my car with no cats and long tubes and the drone will rattle the fillings out of your teeth
I have a simular set up on my 84 and the drone is there, but I have no problem with it. You get use to it. The idle and wot is worth whatever drone you hear. And this set up is affordable.
Thank god for these forums. I was going to put a set of Flowmasters on my stock 96 and have changed my mind due to the horror stories about the drone.
Now I just have to get the wife to ok the Corsa or Borla...wish me luck...
Listen to the Magnaflow #16837 it's 3" stainless vs the Corsa 2.5" and it's alot less money I paid $650.00 for mine and I think it sounds good. The Corsa sounds good too just different.
I have a FlowMaster Cat-Back system on my stock 88. Series 50. I haven't had any problems with drone, listening to the Mrs. or the stereo at any speed. When starting or idling it does get some attention.
I have flowmaster on mine. I like the sound at idle but the droning while cruising is too much for the C4. I have it on my list of things to do to replace it with a corsa system.

Ive got a stock 85 The cat is hollow and I put turbos on it sounds alot like flowmasters, awsome at idle and a helluva lot cheaper than flowmasters. Hope this helps you out.
