They will be loud. Used the DeltaFlow 50s which were much quieter but it still droned.

Too much drone on a corvette, I have straight pipes and there is less drone than with flowmasters.

Definitely a lot of drone. I have 40s on my car with no cats and long tubes and the drone will rattle the fillings out of your teeth

The Corsa System is expensive, but the Flowmasters droned so badly on mine that I didn't even want to drive it anymore. I finally bit the bullet, bought the Corsa and now I couldn't be happier with it. I know you don't have the scratch, but you'll probably spend close to same trying to get yours to sound the way you like it. Just my .02..hope it helps.

None of those after market exhaust are very loud , just alot of drone. I have tried a few set ups until I got it right. All the best.

I had them on my car when it was completely stock, they weren't very loud but they made a ton of noise INSIDE the car None of the aftermarket exhausts are very loud on these cars when they are stock. I ended up with the Magnaflow #16837 which sounds wicked behind my 383 with headers.

Thank god for these forums. I was going to put a set of Flowmasters on my stock 96 and have changed my mind due to the horror stories about the drone.

Now I just have to get the wife to ok the Corsa or Borla...wish me luck...

Just tell her she can have a Coach bag. I have to bargain for everything I get. It's only fair.

I have a simular set up on my 84 and the drone is there, but I have no problem with it. You get use to it. The idle and wot is worth whatever drone you hear. And this set up is affordable.

Listen to the Magnaflow #16837 it's 3" stainless vs the Corsa 2.5" and it's alot less money I paid $650.00 for mine and I think it sounds good. The Corsa sounds good too just different.

I have a FlowMaster Cat-Back system on my stock 88. Series 50. I haven't had any problems with drone, listening to the Mrs. or the stereo at any speed. When starting or idling it does get some attention.

I have flowmaster on mine. I like the sound at idle but the droning while cruising is too much for the C4. I have it on my list of things to do to replace it with a corsa system.

Drone is Flowmaster's legacy. Flowmasters 40 are the loudest, great for muscle cars.
