Hi my name is Jim and I finally have a corvette!!!! I was fortunate that I was able to buy it from my brother this past June and now is now looking for a 2003. I don't know if there is a greater feeling being able to drive down the street in a vette. It is in good shape but it has a few problems but that is okay because I have time to take care of it and then make it the way I want. I want to replace the center counsel and find an original radio, does anyone have any idea's of a good place to get parts like that? I would also like to take my original rims and have them chromed I want to keep it mostly original with some changes. This is all new to me and I am looking forward to learning alot on this forum.

I find a lot of good parts in my local Craigslist.com auto pares section, try there and you may be surprised as to what is there.
Since you're already here at the forum, visit the "parts for sale" section and use the forum's "search" function. Read some threads to get an idea of the prices you can expect. I believe you will find numerous members with the pieces you are looking for.
It always helps to ask for pictures of anything you are interested in. Your idea of "great condition" may be different than someone else.

when i got my 92 my console cover was chipped up so instead of paying 135.00 i figured what have i got to lose, so i took it off used old brake fluid to strip the coating on it , primed it and gave a couple coats of black satin spray. looks great, just buy some striper at store and use that
Congratulations and welcome to the Forum I see you got some good pointers already. What ever job may come up, don't forget to use the search to look up old threads to get info that way. You can find a wealth of information there and of course just ask questions. There is always someone that has done the job before and can give you some help. Good luck with your car.
As much as we like to help with any issue you may have, I suggest you get a FSM and read everything you can about your "new" Vette.
To me it is a hobby and I learn something new all the time and I am driving my 4th Vette. Good Luck and welcome to the "Obsession"
