Well, I'm 62 now, so I guess my "average age" is 31. 
Bought my first Corvette, a 69, (still have it) just before I turned 50, and the 93 when I was 58.

45 here....I have had speedy cars all my life..1 1972 Challenger. 1 1978 Firebird. Trans Am's 3...2 79's and 1 78 400 4sp. . 2 Mustangs 89 GT and a 1995 Cobra. .....By far my favorite is my 1994 LT-1 Corvette...now all I have to do is get a C5 and C6 to complete the trifecta!!!!

Bought mine when I was 19, found it stuck between two C5 'vettes, no one knew the C4 was there. They couldn't recall it ever coming in to the lot. It was a gorgeous black on tan 1995 LT1 coupe.I had to have it, the sound of it idling brought others over to look, complimenting the car that had no owner.
Two years later, she has seen about 12k miles, don't think I can sell this car. I hear it a lot, but the "I wish I still had that car" phrase always makes me want to hang on to them.
Being my age I'm still amazed I have a corvette. I often find myself tripping over things because I can't help but look back and stare for a second. The compliments never stop, just today, cleaning her up - several kids rode their bikes slowly by staring and shouting compliments. They were about the age I was when I really started paying attention to sports cars. Reminds me of how far I've come in a short time, and how far I have to go.
To some they are just cars, makes it hard to hold on to them at times, but then - everyone has their vice. I know it's long, but I had to share Keep them going strong guys
