General Question
Just a couple of questions:
What is the cubic inch in a LT1 motor?
What's the top speed?

Depends on who you ask.
It will easily go over the 150 mark though.
Needless to say, it will go faster than any legal speed limit your likely to encounter on U.S. roads.
PS: At least one member swears his will hit 171

True.
In fact it's so fast no one has ever been able to take a picture of it.
Most reviews and opinions come in around 160 - 165.

349.8 cid actually...
Bore = 4"
Stroke = 3.48"
8 Cylinders.
Cid = πr²Ln
Where
π(pi) ≈ 3.1416
r = radius (of the bore, which is 4"/2 or 2")
L = length of the stroke
n = number of cylinders.
So, Cid = 3.1416 x 2² x 3.48 x 8 ≈ 349.8 cid
As for top speed, I dunno. But! I had my '95 LT1/M6 Vette to 155mph in 5th

I'd be afraid to go over 100 in one of them

As per a Sports Car Graphic road test of a 1966 427/425 with a 4.11 rear its 140mph. I think the standard rear was a 3.36 w/427's. They do get light in the front over 120-130.

I have to agree with cuisinartvette.
Remember, back then they didn't have overdrive transmissions.
With a 4.11 rear that thing would red line before 140
RPO L72 (427/425hp) had a redline of 6500
So, that would put the max speed at redline in 4th gear approx. 127 mph.

The tire size is not exact, since they used a different measuring system back then. But that 205/75-15 is probably close enough.

I have, and I do. I've taken my 67 435 to about 120. In discussions I had with the original owner, he trapped the car at 125 in the 1/4 mile and had it to 155 on the highway. He said the steering was about gone at that point so he backed off.
As a note, the 67 L88 at LeMans hit over 170 on Mulsanne.

Now re-do your math with a 3.36 rear end (which is what the C&D test car had in 1966 when it ran the quarter in 12.8sec) and with 3.08 rear end which was available with the 425/435HP cars. You will find the top end with a 3.36 to be about 155 and its over 170MPH with the 3.08.
