:it is located in the center of the engine, on the front, under the massive rubber intake from the air cleaner. If you look down under the intake you will see the plug wires that come out of it.

Big hole is where opti usually sits

Okay I'll be the first to ask - which hose was it? I've never had to replace one yet, so I'd like to know which is the first to blow? Mine still all look like new so would like to know which one is the culprit.

Sorry to sound dumb but I just got my 1990 and I want to clean my engine is there anything that I need to worry about? From what I am reading the opti is not in a 1990?

Opti spark in in the LT-1/4's, 92-96......

it was the upper hose going into the water pump. the hose FINALLY got here. at $30 what a steal!

Take a shop towel soaked in diesel fuel and lay it over the opti. Gentle application of water is OK. No direct streams on Opti.
