Nice for sure. In the 2nd pic there were 2 legs that also got my attention.

Looking at both pix, I'd guess they belong to the 10-year old in the red top, walking with Mom and little sis.....

On the 88 & 89 cars the hood has functional ducting that picks up air from the stock intake location and directs it to the intercoolers.
