On the 88 & 89 cars the hood has functional ducting that picks up air from the stock intake location and directs it to the intercoolers.
its aftermarket...Alpine. Not part of the Callaway package.
You could order an auto for $4500. It was a 400 Turbo with a Gear Vendors OD attached.
