tranmission question
IF you have an automatic transmission, any you rev it up in park, does that hurt the transmission? I heard that the other day. I always thought it was the same as neutral but with brakes applied. IDK enlighten me

you heard bad advice. nothing to do with the brakes. park is just like neutral but with the parking pawl engaged to lock up the output shaft of the tranny and of course, the rest of the driveline. no clutches or band servos applied. rev all you want but you'll get better mileage in gear!
