I can tell you it made a big difference in my car, B-4 I put the insulation inside of my 84 vette, It was like an oven.. there is a big difference.. Much cooler
The kit was very e-z to install, I recommend buying a roll or 2 of the tape they offer for a few xtra bucks per roll.. It will make for an e-zer install..
As far as the raod noise, Again another big difference it made, I have the kit which included the door panels in it, Not all kits offer the door panels.. It was definitly a good purchase & well worth the money...
Did you guys put the factory insulation back in over the sound deadner?
Reason is I've had a water leak and the footwell and tranny foam insulation is bad. So, I'll either have to get some from a parts car, do without and just go with the sound deadner stuff only, or go find some foam insulation on a roll and try to cut something out. But that may be tricky as the foam is molded.
Right now I'm stuck getting the console plate out.
Just not had the time. Also to be honest, I was disappointed with the results. Add to that the guy then dropped the price right after a bunch of us had bought into the group buy - felt a bit ripped off to be honest and in no mood to do a write-up.
In short it was the most work project for the least gain I've done so far.
Having said that, I would still recommend doing it, but with higher quality insulation - not necessarily Dynomat, as there is better value out there (see Audio Forum). I also still intend to post some pics.

For the most part, yes. In the later model cars they have a lot of material in there - I found 3 different types in my car. Generally I tried to keep the original but there were some areas that were destroyed ripping it out
There really wasn't much to the stock insulation - roughly cut sections of recycled natural fiber glued here and there.

There is another guy supposed to be selling an insulation kit for the C4. He posted in the C4 parts for sale section a few days ago.

Sorry, didn't realize the situation and thought you were being CFOT like.
So far it looks like the 100+ bucks on these kits is a bust.
