Why in the world were you working on the garage roof with the car sticking partway out of the garage? Anyone knows that you could lose the hammer and it would slide right off the roof and hit the car. You really should be more careful.

I don`t know how much those things cost in the USA, but here in Canada (eh) the cost of replacing the windshield with the stripping (3 of them) is about 350.00 before tax.
With exchange, that comes to 52.00 American. :mad
Actually that is about 200. Might make a trip to Canada worthwhile. Depending where you live.
Seriously, I would just pay for it.
Better to be honest and avoid potential problems with your insurance company, the police, etc...
Just a thought.

Yeah, I know .. i won't be dishonest. I have a very guilty consence. I have quite a few chips in it that can be seen in direct sunlight, and with my luck I'll get a boulder to fall on my car anyway, so I'll just wait until I actually need it :)
