Not sure what you mean by electronics, but here's a GPS, Alpine, iPhone I added to mine. Since this picture the power is now hardwired rather than using the lighter.

Looks great, iv been wanting to build a gps into my dash sometime
I'm a sucker for useful gadgets
Kenwood 7" flip out DVD with navigation
Focal 6 1/2" fronts with JL 8" subs in rear, powered by 4 channel JL amp
CCD camera with night vision in rear
Parrot bluetooth handsfree kit
Hardwired radar detector on mirror
Bulldog keyless entry
Wideband 02 with datalog
Gosh, I did a lot over the years. The more useful ones are:
Radar detector - mandatory!
Auto up/down one touch windows.
Ditched the Blose for a Kenwood with Garmin GPS, bluetooth etc.
Viper remote alarm with fob that closes windows
HID fogs and Halo tail LEDs. Sylvania Silverstar headlight replacements.
Poor man's HUD (Defi VSD)
The one thing that would be really cool would be an electric rag top, but that is a bit beyond my capabilities.
I've had a few mods added to my keyless entry (remote start, one touch windows, auto headlights). Because I have a manual, there is a particular method and sequence you must follow to 'prime' the car for a restart later. Invariably I forget to do something like turn the lights off or put the windows up and adding those modules to take care of them automatically has been great.
Lock the doors and the windows go up and lights turn off. The system I used is from Viper.
The automoatic headlights also have a sensor I installed in the dash that also turns on the lights automatically which has been good, but basic keyless and one touch windows are mods I wouldn't do without.
On a side note, my GPS is also wired to an amp and uses the two speaker grills in the dash that weren't used by the Bose system. Makes listening to music and still being able to hear GPS instructions much easier.

I always wanted to hook up a car with a smoke screen and oil slick, James Bond style.
It wouldn't be hard to do at all (I was thinking 2 windshield washer bottles/pumps...one to spray "oil" on the road behind you; one to spray Seafoam or similar into the intake manifold), but a malfunction could cause a LOT of problems.
One of the things about the '96 I have is a lot of electronics. I hooked up a tranny shift switch from B&K. It has a stock, firm and hard setting on it with the flip of a switch.
