Dead Mouse smell
'bounce' scented sheets work for me, 'discount' subs don't...change the bounce sheets monthly.
'ozium' tablets (get a couple) from 'stinkers' section of any discount auto parts store will remove 99% of mousey smell in abt two weeks, sadly remove 'leather' smell at same time
c4 neon 'vacancy' sign for mice are the drain holes (slots) on the underside of each door...two oblong holes each door, outboard from the softseal, body ledge at mouse jump height...best to open door and lay on ground/look up to see, but finger run while sitting in seat will find em...duct tape over those holes will stop the mice, screen cut to 'snap' in or epoxy in is better.

Consider how many home in the US would smell given the MILLIONS of mice that die every year in the walls and in every corner of peoples homes. Truth is they don't smell.
I know their **** smell - and that smell ain't it! They DO decompose, and it does smell like a rotting body, and excuse me, but they are big enough to cause quite a stink!
Whom ever told you it is their urine that ya smell when a dead one is in your car or in the HVAC, or where ever doesn't know squat about dead animal (mouse) smell, or his nose is so numb from all the chemicals they use that he/she can't smell rotting stuff anymore!
They most certainly can and DO stink when rotting, and there's no mistaking the difference...at least not to my snoot!
To the OP: Pet Smart sells some stuff called "Nature's Miracle" that is excellent for breaking down pet urine "etc". And, it works on mouse urine and "other stuff" left after a "bloater" has been removed. Just saturate the spot and let air dry before using any other cleaner, etc. It is great stuff, I find!

Trust me, the one I fished out of the HVAC blower on the Tracker was quite ripe. It wasn't the smell of ****...it was decomp. My lunch got as far as my tonsils before I managed to choke it back down. The difference between the two smells is obvious.
