Fault code 36

Fault code 36
I have a 89Vette, I started getting an fault code 36, Burn off diagnostic, when I re start the car when it is warm. If I drive it then leave it sit till the next day I do not get the fault code. Also the fault code 36 is not listed in the repair book. I understand that it has to do with the MAF sensor.
Anybody know how to diagnose the problem??
