I wish I could find someone who sold original looking mats for my '87 with NO LOGO and the factory style velcro on the underside (no grommet like the later C4s). So far, no dice. ~Juliet
corvette forum mall has some good deals this month. You might want to check them out. Also, there is a guy who is selling the factory GM ones on the forum. Do a search to find his name.
Thanks Jon. :D I have some other stuff I need to get from TLD too. So that works for me! :)
I checked with that forum person (I forget his name). He didn't have the early style with no logo unfortunately. The CF Mall ones all have logos on them. Not that I've got anything agains the logo, but I want to get stock looking ones. Gotta get Victor Smiley ready for NCRS judging. :jester:
This is probobly a very stupid question. But how is the grommet used on the floor mat? I assume it's to keep the mat where it's supposed to be but what does it attach to and how is it attached?
The grommet hooks over a small hook on the floor, on the drivers side. It hoods the mat in place. I need to replace the mats in my 96. Did the factory mats have a logo on them? I see both with and without logos, but would like to keep the car factory stock.
hook - no logo on original
i have originals stored & have logos in use
thinking about clear covers for the logo mats, covers to protect mats that protect carpet - sheesh - maybe i'm gettin' into overkill here :jester
