So my Big Mouth Air Dam arrived around 11am today. By 11:20 I was out the office to head home to install (10 min drive). By 12:30 I was back at the office working hard. I did cheat and used the optional install using self taping screws, but it was damn easy. Even hit the screws with some touch up paint.
No more sucking hot air off the pavement. Just in time for the cool months so I probably won't even notice, but we'll see how she does on my 3,200 mile road trip next week (round trip). I swear she ran cooler on the 4 mile drive back to work, but I forgot to check the digital readout on the way to install.

Looks good! How does it prevent sucking up hot air off the pavement??? I'll be curious if you notice any different temps. That product always looked like a gimmick. I read one persons results with a 2° drop in temps.

By redirecting where it picks up it's air flow. It's now grabbing it from the front of the car, vs below the car. Sure it'll still be hot air, but not DIRECTLY off the pavement. I swear I was all ready running a few degrees cooler on the drive home (40mph). I think it'll really help once at highway speed.

Thanks...It is the intake for some nice cooler air. Actually hoping to smooth out the inside of the bumper this weekend (box in the area for better air feeding).

Not to hijack BUT...that is WAY COOL.
Did you make the plate insert from your original? Would you share some info on this mod, looks like it should be putting plenty of cool air in the engine compartment.
No problem. I can't say I've seen a huge increase in power, but I figure it's gotta help. Maybe she'll come to life after my FIC bosch injectors install this week.
