I think you should all buy a Collector Edition roadster with LT4 and mod it all to hell.
Will make mine worth more.
Only 76 CE Roadsters with grey interior and LT4. That is approaching rare

I hope both of you make money on your investment while the rest of us are out having fun with our cars.
Just so you know, I took one of 6200 LT4's and gutted the sh*t out of it. Even after that, all C4's are still worth less than when I bought it in 2006.

Let's say 10 years from now that the CE roadster above is worth $50K...today's value is $20K. How much money did you "make"? Clue...the answer is NOT $30K.
And according to the numbers that I find, there were 157 CE LT4 roadsters with light grey interior.

157 total CE LT4's with Grey Interior
76 CE LT4's with Grey Interior and FE1 Base Suspension
81 CE LT4's with Grey Interior and F45 Optional Suspension
I can see both sides of the fence. I like to see a nice original car sometimes. But to buy one to just hang on too for future value is probably not going to happen in your lifetime.

Don't recall using the word "investment", Sonny. I use the stock market for that. I bought it to enjoy and have no plans to sell it.
We might be missing the point here
What makes the LT4 special for me is mostly the headwork. If you're going to mod the hell out of it, or replace the heads entirely then why start with a LT4 in the first place? There are tons of places selling their own heads/ valvetrain which make more power
Any color 96 LT4 is more rare than a CE.... ie; my yellow LT4, grey int. Z51 (1 of 1). But i drive the hell out of it, 112k mildly modified/custom miles. I enjoy it every chance i get and drive it on long trips out of state. Sure the rock chips on the front show but i maintain and clean it all the time and can be found at local cruise-ins or Corvette shows across the state winning trophies. So unless you buy it new and are the original owner and own a museum with a staff to maintain it, just drive it and enjoy it and let the rest of the folks dream and drool of the day the can own and DRIVE a VETT!
A bit more. LT4 car is around 3325 ish, where as most C5's are under 3300 (3250 range). The Z06's are lighter, and the anniversary edition Z's with the light hood are even lighter.
Mine weighed in at 3,220.

Yes, Exotic Muscle long tubes work nice on these cars. Long tubes, 4.10 gears, and a tune and you will have a mid-low 12 second car if you can drive it
